The scholarship is available for 2 year higher secondary education and 3/4/5 year tertiary education in select streams.

3/4/5 year Tertiary Scholarship

Available to B. Tech, B. E., M. Tech, MBBS, B. Pharma and LLB aspirants

Professional degree courses eligible for scholarships are Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of  Technology, integrated 5-year dual-degree M.Tech, MBBS, Bachelor of Pharma and LLB.

Admission to professional degree courses/institutions is based on the merit rank awarded at the state or national level entrance exams, or through a counseling process conducted at the state level.

Prepare For College: One-time reimbursement for college preparation up to Rs. 25,000 on successful scholarship award of 4/5-year programs

Annual fee reimbursements (including tuition fees, mess charges, hostel etc.): Rs. 1,00,000 per annum or 80% of total costs, whatever is less.  

Maximum Scholarship amount

  • 3-year LLB program: Rs. 3,00,000
  • 4-year Bachelor program: Rs. 4,25,000
  • 5-year Masters program and MBBS: Rs. 5,25,000 

2 year Higher Secondary Scholarship

Available to students in Grade XI and Grade XII

  • All India ranking in grade X
  • Reputation of the admitting Institution
  • Family financial status

Admission is based on the merit rank awarded at the state or national level Grade X exams.

You must have the bonafide certificate from the school when you will be completing your higher secondary program.

You must have the willingness to complete your tertiary education in any field.

Annual reimbursements of fees (including tuition fees, mess charges, hostel etc) : Rs. 70,000 per annum or 80% of total fees, whatever is less.

Gross annual family income before any deductions. Family living conditions will also be taken into consideration.

Employees

Note: Submission of an Income certificate from a local or other government authority in lieu of a salary/payslip is not acceptable.

  • Salary/payslip from the employer is mandatory.

  • Details on his/her basic salary and all allowances and deductions are necessary for the payslip.

  • The employer and the facilitator should certify the salary/payslip.

Pensioners or Retirees

Note: Pensioners should also provide documents to show the official status or designation, gross salary drawn at the time of retirement and the name of the employing organization.

  • Pension statement from the pension authority

  • Bank statement showing the gross monthly pension of the family member, inclusive of any supplementary allowances and any deductions.

Self-Employed

Note: Specific details of the nature and size of the business or self-employment should also be provided.

  • An income certificate issued by any government authority, or
  • Income tax return in support of the gross family income specified in the application.

Register your NGO or Institution

Funding is always provided directly to an educational institution or a supporting NGO. Please register your organisation to become a registered Grantee of the Karmakar Foundation.

Scholarship awarding process

The process of awarding the grant includes candidate evaluation by a group of panel.

Application

Applications are made via our online portal. The application includes marksheets, ranking certificates, invoices from institutions, other financial statements, and registration information.

Understanding

After your application is submitted, our program officers and selection panel will review your application and contact you.

Acceptance

A program manager evaluates all proposals, and grants are accepted quarterly.

Communication

During the scholarship, a foundation program manager will keep in close communication to understand the progress and challenges.
