LETTER FROM KAMAL KARMAKAR
Providing access to quality education will unlock unlimited opportunities for children with potential.
Ensuring access to quality education holds the key to unlocking boundless opportunities for children brimming with potential. Poverty, however, is not merely an economic predicament; it manifests as a grave violation of basic human rights. Those entrenched in abject poverty seldom enjoy the privilege of free expression or wield any substantial influence in matters of governance, policymaking, or decisions that profoundly affect their existence. Their access to adequate healthcare and quality education is severely limited, particularly during the crucial formative years of their lives. Regrettably, children hailing from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds are denied the essential educational resources that could sculpt their future.
These circumstances conspire against children born into underprivileged environments, tilting the odds unfavourably. My aspiration is to recalibrate these odds.

“The foundation awards The Kaira Karmakar Scholarship to deserving, gifted, and underprivileged students, offering them opportunities to pursue 4-year B.E., B.Tech, and B.Pharma programs; 5-year Integrated M.Tech and M.B.B.S. courses; 3-year L.L.B. programs; as well as 2-year high school completion initiatives.”
Having personally witnessed the glaring disparity in educational prospects for the youth in developing nations, I also bear witness to the transformative potential of quality education for those willing to toil ardently. By affording talented underprivileged children access to quality education, we can level the playing field and equip them with the tools they need to succeed. This empowerment extends not only to the students themselves but also ripples outward, benefiting their families and communities. Many of these scholars will inevitably become catalysts for change, ushering in enduring positive transformations for their loved ones and broader communities. While our Foundation ardently aspires to provide equal opportunities for every child from a disadvantaged background, we are acutely aware of the enormity of this task.
The Foundation’s primary focus lies in collaborating with local NGOs and non-profit organizations to identify promising students and exceptionally gifted learners from underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds. Through our partnership, these local entities gain the capacity to cover school fees and enable less privileged students to access educational institutions of higher quality than they might otherwise have hoped for. Awareness stands as the crucial first step toward social transformation, and our investment in the education of our youth constitutes the most potent catalyst for change.
